So, with the tremendously awesome news that we're moving to 3062-3067 in the timeline, it's time to start talking old favorites that should presumably be in full production during this time period.

The Blood Asp, introduced in 3060, is a 90-tonner with some disgusting hardpoint placement, with the A variant boasting jump jets and ECM.

Since we won't see HAG 40's any time soon, some of the variants won't work in the timeline, but the 65 km/h (64.8) engine speed and jump jets on some variants, it makes it a pretty appealing mech.

Oh, and I'm assuming Alex would make an already attractive mech even more attractive.

It is my #1 pick for a Clan Assault 'mech and has been for years. Now it's actually in timeline?

Blood Asp - Puts any other PPC/Gauss build to shame in the Aesthetic apartment.

If they're going for the "Mechassault" approach (Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image ) Much like the kodiak's retractable claws, I'd love to see the option to open/close the upper claws. Posted Image

The problem per lore is that this 'Mech is fielded by the Clans Blood Spirit, Star Adder, and Cloud Cobra, it never made it to the Inner Sphere.

On the other hand, I'll take the Stone Rhino and Bane...
