Other than buying mech packs...is there anyway to acquire warhorns (asking for a friend...LOL)?

You can buy them individually in the cockpit tab on the mechlab.

They are also prizes for events pretty frequently.

They are also on sale one in a while (at least a selection following the theme of the sale), it might be a good idea to wait since stuff often drops down 25, 35 or even 50%.

The Envious Eardrum Warhorn is in the prizepool of the currently ongoing lootbag event (good luck).

The "HEAVY METAL" Highlander hero mech has it's own (slotless) warhorn which plays different heavymetal riffs.

750 to 1,000 MC. Under Cockpit > Mounted.

The only warhorn you can't buy are the country and guitar riffs from Highlander Hero "Heavy Metal", since it is part of the mech. (Any warhorn you insert into the HM override the HM's default warhorn).

I got the vast majority of my warhorns through events. They're common prizes.
