Hi!
I'm having some problems figuring out what is causing the shimmering and texture drop in mwo and to some extent mwll. Nvidia control panel is default.

Rig:
Win 10 pro 64-bit
MB: Gigabyte B150
i5-6500
8GB DDR4-2133
Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB
Game installed on Kingston 480 GB SSD (non-steam version)
Corsair 450M Bronze PSU

Things I've tried;
-Uninstalled gpu drivers with DDU
-Installed different nvidia drivers
-Repair tool and later uninstalled/installed MWO again.
-Also tested with steam-version, same result.

Could this be a Win10/DirectX issue?
Can't recall that I had this issue with my old Win7/Amd R9 270X

This is actually an inherent flaw of how MWO is built by PGI. If I recall, there were a few cvars in the user.cfg that helped me make this less of an issue at one point, however I haven't tested them in a while now and I don't remember exactly which ones they were. If you're interested, I'll try to dig them up later.

That would be great, please post it here so others with similar problems can get it fixed.

Well, I mean, literally EVERYBODY has this 'problem' so...

Yeah, I'll dig it up when I'm on my studio system tonight (assuming I still have my old user.cfg)

Yeah, definitely don't have them anymore. The most you can do is crank the settings I spose, unless you want to go back through old forum threads where I would have posted my old user.cfg files or Google the cvars yourself like I had to do back then. I'm not personally gonna waste all that time, though. Sorry.

I've been doing that ... with one goal being to get higher detail at greater distance than normal ... so that it looks decent on my 4K screen ... a quick look at your video shows LOD issues all over the place ... I think I might have left in the setting that disables shadows, and or a few other things you may or may not care about ...

of most importance, you probably want to set
e_lods = 0
