[Tier5 Kerensky]

Has anyone else noticed? I've had one mech I want to play on Alpine. For about two days now I've had 7x map vote because I havent seen the alpine. During this easter event I played some other mechs but now I've done that and returned to hunt for alpine.

It never shows up on the vote screen. I haven't counted but I must have at least few dozens of games absolutely sure, that it has not been presented.

Surely it can't be that rare? In some games I've asked if people see it anymore and few have said it's still there, but how on earth I'm not seeing it. There are rather few maps and every time you see 4 of them. Sure they might not have equal distribution as another I see rarely is the therma, but I've seen that few times.

And because I'm trying to particularly get it, I always watch the vote screen, normally I might switct to forum right after I click play.

Today and yesterday I have dropped on Alpine several times. Play on EU server--as they seem to have a hard-on for Alpine.

Drop Euro. Alpine wins every single vote that it's available.

Be prepared however to find that three quarters of your and the enemy's team are LRM boats. Several of the rest are snipers.

I've had 7 matches straight today on Alpine and Polar, all of them LRMfests. But I've won only 1 match as the LRMers on my team have sat behind hills and demanded that I hold my locks.

(I replied to one: "Please, at least bring TAG so you can get your own locks." He said: "L2play noob. TAG means you have to get too close to the enemy.") End of match his Stalker had 147 damage, and my unElited Phoenix Hawk had 600 damage and 3 kills. But no win, no 2XP.)

I am calling it quits for a while. It's not fun trying to level a Mech when the matchmaker keeps serving you up impossible carry missions.

Wow. So some people are getting all the alpine fights and Im getting none. Yep, I I want to play with my spesific Stalker LRM boat on that map, because it has 1200 sensor range and 1250 LRM range.

Most of the time it's so bloody hilarious to climb to the big mountain in the center and then start lurming people from behind. As even most LRM boats have sensor range of only 1000 meters I won't be targetted and thus people won't notice me too fast.

There's no other map so void of cover as long as you get to the right place. I think it's silly but I will try to select EU server only for next session. Im pretty sure I played about 5 hours or so and it never came, plenty of ofter LRM maps but they aren't the same, plus it's really annoying as I want to use that 7x vote for only alpine, so I can't vote at all.

Alpine again, this time on the NA server.

My team won the match, though. The enemy's Assaults were all LRM Stalkers who sat on a hill until I killed them from behind with my Pirates Bane Locust.

Huh. If I want Alpine, all I need to do is bring an Atlas or any other slow, short range mech and boom: Alpine (or occasionally Polar). If you want Terra Therma? Just load up a 5ERLL build or something with some ERPPCs. Want Crimson? Bring Lrms. Etc. Easy Peasy.

Had 1 or 2 Alpine matches last night, saw it pop up about 5 times in the map selection screen. Was in my Banshee Champion and drew first blood on an Ebon Jaguar, was shocked that neither team was loaded down with missile boats, and only a couple Shadowcat snipers each team.

First game on todays session, I got it, nice assult mode too, with good spawn. Too bad it was loss, but totally worth it. Now I can resume voting normally and playing different mechs.

I'd be willing to bet there was a sharp drop-off in votes for Alpine dating to the release of Polar. The lurmers and snipers have a better option these days, one without any pesky hills.
