How horrible ? I'm trying to dig out of a horrible KDR more than worry about the WLR which has less to do with my tactics and more to do with the other 23 players tactics. The best win streak I've managed in a month is six games consecutive, or 16 out of 20 games cumulative.

My WLR was 0.25 for the first several months, back in late 2012 and early 2013. Took me to late 2013 to have my overall WLR to be 1:1. I consider WLR to be more important because in the long run, good players can affect WLR better than those who are not.

There's not enough players lately so PGI is filling the gaps with bots. For now they are just very basic, they just follow players then wait for the enemy to show up to shoot them. But in the next patch they should also know how to run away when overwhelmed.

hmmm they must have updated the patch notes then, the ones I saw ended with "..run away when scratched by an ERLL at 1000m"

Hell, for my first 2000ish battles I played in MWO (when I was playing at genuinely terrible to mediocre level), I was still usually winning slightly more battles than I lost, ending up with 1.09 W/L by the time I quit the game in early 2015.

I started playing again late 2016, and in the 1250ish battles I've played since then, I've managed around 1.38 W/L, which has bought my overall W/L up to 1.19.
I've hit 1.63 W/L for my last 300ish battles though, so I think I think I can bring my overall W/L up further yet.

Given that even when I was playing at a quite mediocre level I was able to maintain a W/L over 1.0, I really don't find the excuses people give out for not having a positive W/L to hold any sort of credibility.
