In many mechs adding gigantic Missile Racks creates an unbalanced and oversized target hitbox. Obviously they are not part of the side torso or arm or wherever they might be placed, but hits to them count as hits to the armor and structure of that section. This should be changed. Missile Racks should get hit points instead. This way they do not add armor or target size to the mech, but can be shot off or destroyed.

This is much more balanced and does not penalize players for adding a missile option that quite often adds a giant hitbox to the section it is placed on. There are many mechs that are made much weaker by this, but do not get any better damage output than a non-missile option.

Mechs I would not put missiles on ever include the Bushwhacker (side torsos too big already), the Orion IIc (even though it's lore is as a missile mech), some others, but many mechs lose sections too fast if missile racks are added. So changing Missile Racks to seperate sections with only appropriate HPs for balanced gameplay would be fairer and easier to balance.
