One of the persistent complaints about the incoming skill tree system on Tuesday is this whole GSP vs Cbills thing. As I understand it, we get GSP for modules bought before December 3 and Cbill refunds for modules bought after then, right? Or is it the other way around?

Nevertheless, it struck me recently that another complaint about big GSP refunds we who have been playing more than a few months all saw on the PTS ledger is that we will get more GSP than we will ever use. I'm not sure that's true. Consider this. One thing I keep hearing is this disincentive to try new builds or re-skill mechs. But with this giant store of GSP a lot of us will have, doesn't that translate to the ability to unlock a lot more nodes...even, say, all the nodes on our favorite mechs, if we want to? Making loadout swapping much more inexpensive if we want to roll a different loadout what with the 3060-tech also on its way in, not to mention the (eek) upcoming energy weapon balance pass?

That's crazy talk! People will never change their builds and don't need even 1 extra GSP. GSP are the devil and C-Bills our saviour!

Back in the real world - yes, excess GSP are equally as useful as excess C-Bills, as both have limited uses and a point of "uselessness" that differs for everyone.
