I'm just looking forward to them moving on to something else. The skill tree design, redesign, re-re-design, does not come free. Every month they spend on this they aren't spending it on something else.

I have my problems with it just like everyone else, but we're at the point where we need to move forward.

Also I'm sitting on like a dozen mechs that I only bought 1 variant of because I was expecting this skill tree to be out months ago. I WANT TO SKILL THEM UP, DANGIT!

It's all "Meh!" to me.

But my joystick requires constant use. So while I make up my mind with MWO, see you in the deadly skies.

+1 to OP for sharing my excitement. While I have as many concerns as the next hater regarding PGI's follow through in the months to come, at least that Q&A post sounded like they had a grasp on the issues and some kind of plan.

I can't wait.

Come the 16th IS HAS to get good. IS has to learn their mechs in and out. IS has to learn the games mechanics. IS will have to learn that they have god tier defensive quirks. IS WILL have to adapt.

But who am i kidding, the status quo warriors will cry, moan and ***** their way in an effort to keep the status quo and keep the game stagnating as they stifle any sort of development.

People take night gyr with 300xl over the timber now because of the firepower. I can't see 315xl agelity with more firepower quirks being a bad trade.

IS is losing some offensive quirks and clan is losing some agility.

Even trade I feel.

I know some clans mechs I own are gonna love the tree, looking at you Huntsman, HBK-IIC, cutefox and EXE.

And my fatlas, Dragon, Griffin-1e and Grid Iron too.

Don't forget if i'm understanding this right, the IS keeps their defensive quirks.

Yup.

The fatlas is already a tough cookie, but it's slow and wide and that makes it an easy target, with the tree I can make it even more of a tank for a siege like push.

Depends on the faction.

Nerf clans have been going on for days.

So i'd give nerf IS a go after the event to not look like a spiteful toad.

I stopped running XL's on all my mechs because I hate having to be extra careful with my ST's as if they're waiting to be 1-shot due to one little wrong move.

Lights and cicada's are the exception to that rule.

im going to have a rather strong aversion to allocating my refunds at first. i probibly wont even play with the system on some of my seldom used mechs until after at least the first bugfix patch. but with new weapons a couple months out, im probibly going to sit on my favorite mechs until i can test some new builds. will my ilya drop its ac10s for rac5s? will i turn my wubshee into a snubshee? i do not know. so it would be foolhardy to allocate skill nodes until i know what my preferred builds are going to be.

Im not IS or Clan. I love all mechs but until they make me a Locust IIC (does that even exist?) then I think I prefer Spheroids. At least in the 20 ton category...... Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Yes there is a Locust IIC, it is 25 tons. I would link the sarna page and drop in a pic but Sarna is broken at the moment.

Should prove "interesting" around here (as usual).

While they fix all the inevitable mistakes and blunders I hope to be playing the Battletech Beta that comes out June 1st. Now that's exciting!

I'm looking forward to losing the 3 'mech mastery requirement. Perhaps I'll free up some 'mech bays by selling the variants that I was going to use for mastery but never liked!

I.S. will adapt by playing their clan mechs till the new tech drops. Enjoying my clan mechs so much. Love having a heavy weapon layout on my hunchback iic that can match my Warhammer.

im probibly going to be clan for a while longer since the next cbill mech is supernova. in fact im probibly going to take a break before that happens (starting as soon as i qualify for the last daily prize and probibly ending when the cbill supernova hits).
