Im super angry they wont give me a correct refund ledger that shows what I bought between dec 3rd and feb 18th, cant work out which modules I can safely refund from a Feb 18th ledger that we got on PTS. They should have given us a PTS with December 3rd ledger before this went live and they should have answered whether their refund system can actually tell individual modules apart or is just going by total of module type owned now - total modules owned before dec 3rd = amount of modules you will get full refund on (so if you sold your pre dec 3rd modules and own post dec 3rd ones, those post dec 3rd ones your keeping will become GSP not cbills......)

I am looking forward to it as well. However, I think balance will be borked royally and I hope that PGI doesn't wait months before taking steps.

On the other hand: I am neither clan or IS so I have a decent amount of mechs of both sides.

Nevertheless I am looking even more forward to the new tech toys

Well, low tier mechs were already low tier mechs, the fact they need work to increase their competitive viability is separate from this patch. I can bet a number of clan mechs that are top or high meta right now will become average to terrible too.

dude... you literally are on every thread saying the dumbest things imaginable, are you Paul trolling us about how badly IS is getting nerfed???

Well, I'm excited for the May Patch as well, not because of the Skill Tree obviously, but for stuff like this that I and other people have been waiting (and requested) for a long time. After all I spend mostly of my time goofing around with colors, camos and other sorts of vanity anyway.

So it's finally coming along. Time for me to reinstall and see how it holds up.

Im not IS or Clan. I love all mechs but until they make me a Locust IIC (does that even exist?) then I think I prefer Spheroids. At least in the 20 ton category...... Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Locust IIC does indeed exist, but it's a 25 tonner.

A 25-tonner with one variant that has a 340 XXL engine. You read that right; a 340 extra-extra-light engine.

It'll be amusing watch the tears of "yes, something new!" turning to salt when folks finally realize that "new and different" is not the same as "good or an improvement." Lot's of buyer's remorse going around these days, and the skill maze is going to just be another example of that.

As for me, I'm sadden to know that the game's balance will be miserable until new tech comes out. Lots of time wasted blundering through the skill maze, lots of mediocre mechs nerfed into uselessness. Of course, PGI will also no doubt "dynamically balance" the skill maze over time, forcing even more grind on respecing - until sometime after big changes post new-tech insertion. Then, they'll probably just leave the game in whatever unbalanced state it is and call it a day.

But, hey - at least the Kodiak 3 can now get quirks! That, and my Awesomes are weaker than before! Looks like "balanced" design to me... lol... Posted Image

Psst!

Hey you!

Yes, you!

I have great news. We're going to have Stars vs. Lances, starting with Clan Binary vs. IS Company fights.

Come the 16th IS HAS to get good. IS has to learn their mechs in and out. IS has to learn the games mechanics. IS will have to learn that they have god tier defensive quirks. IS WILL have to adapt.

Is this the same IS that is saddled with inferior tech across the board, lost every faction warfare event, and only has viable mechs thanks to god-quirks, most of which are being removed? That IS?

News for you: "Git Gud" doesn't compensate for inferior equipment unless your opponent is NOT "gud." So, unless all the potatoes are going to Clan and all the "gud" players are going IS, the time between next week and new tech is going to basically be unplayable for most IS mechs. And even after new tech, many of the IS mechs will still suck.

I'm very tired of people using accusations of "you suck!" to try to sweep away Clan tech superiority and the fact that huge quirks - which are going away - are the only thing keep nearly every IS mech that is playable remotely worthwhile.
