I'm very happy for it at the same time I'm sad because I know the balance is going to be awful for 4 months or more.

Eh, I'm not touching my nodes until I know what they're for. Just running everything like it's a fresh new chassis.

Perhaps, but IS SRMs, LPLs, LLs, PPCs and gauss are still going to be nice, despite the reduction of quirks there are still going to be a number of meta IS mechs for different scenarios.

I'm looking forward to it as well. I'm finally going Clan, and Clan mechs that I am buying will only benefit from it. Yay for PGI's concept of "improving diversity and increasing player choice"!

Im not IS or Clan. I love all mechs but until they make me a Locust IIC (does that even exist?) then I think I prefer Spheroids. At least in the 20 ton category...... Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

People who wish for change, not caring if it is good or bad, usually don't get what they think they are getting.

I look forward to respeccing 300 plus mechs...oh wait I don't.

In that case I look forward to saving money.

I should have low tier mechs will be awful. The mx90 is still going of be great and locust will be as good or better.
It just if you get team members running QuickDraw without quirks it's going to be bad.

Well, low tier mechs were already low tier mechs, the fact they need work to increase their competitive viability is separate from this patch. I can bet a number of clan mechs that are top or high meta right now will become average to terrible too.

Locust IIC does exist, but it's a 25 tonner (not 20 tons like the IS version of the Locust).

Only 20 ton Clan mechs i can think of that are appropriate for the period would be the Piranha, Dasher, Baboon and the Snow Fox.
Snow Fox obviously being the best choice for obviously obvious reasons.

I won't touch MWO until the tech update in June but I'm glad the new skill tree and the engine decoupling finally make it to the live servers.

I think the plan is to fix the atlas walk at the same time as inverse kinematics.

Oh i know exactly how Im gonna buff my Hunchback IICs. Cant believe I can buff them myself and enhance them even further. What a glorious moment. I will be right there when monsters are reborn as evil godless entities. My hands will be shaking and Im gonna be aroused.

Not really low tier IS mechs still were "ok" just not the best.
They have no plan to fix the low tier mechs from what I have seen. This patch is screwing them up so yes I am not looking forward to only being able to use 10 mechs out of 130 I own without hurting my team.

Fair enough, I do not enjoy such a tight meta list either, and hope to see it open up a bit over the next few patches. I can understand that many mechs are just generally cheaper (c-bills) and less effective but when that goes way over 50% with hundreds of available mechs it is sad.

well not really, Clan is getting hit in Agility,
the TBR will have the Agility as if it had a 315 Engine,
and the MAD will have the Agility as if it has a 375, regardless of Engine Choice,

Looking forward to the new equipment a lot more but finally a good skill tree, all the trolling aside.

MechWarrior Online is taking it very seriously though it seems, since these things always gets updated no matter what anyway, maybe to seriously. :)
