Part one was overhyped and feature empty, a huge mess of KABOOM effects without substance and actualyl 0 immersion for everyone with more than 3 connected braincells. Ontop of these the game was released superunfinished which had not even groups and co.

people don't even start botherig with part 2. Thats how it works with games, you can f it up on ce and this will affect your next title.

Doesn't needs 10mins of vid full of jabba blah blah blergh

In real life, things are a lot more complicated than an oversimplified explanation of a single factor. The video has a lot of good points on a number of factors that affected TF2 sales, the most important which was timing. It was actually really good and thorough.

How was timing the most important? timing isn't that important on video games anymore.

I tend to avoid Youtube as it eats my bandwidth more than (literally) anything else (and I am talking more than 10x what MWO does)

Basically EA released it in the same period they released BF1 and Activision released CoD. This combined with a nearly nonexistent marketing campaign (Most PS4 owners thought it was still Xbox exclusive) resulted in very poor sales.

The game is very good though in both the campaign and multiplayer.
