ADR-Prime - "
Pugzapper" (stock plus for maximum smug superiority)
ADR-D - "
Boomslang" - It's the only light currently in the game that can run a large ballistic build that's not a trollmech. So... why wouldn't you?
If you prefer splat, you could do
this. I didn't really click with missile Adders, though. Or... well, there's always the boring route with laservomit, I guess. Adders can do 5xMPL pretty damned decently, it's just not as fun as the other possibilities. Almost every light can do lasers, but only the Adder can carry whatever the hell it wants and still have leftover tonnage.
KFX-Prime - "
Lurmbrella" - Kinda explains itself. Stick with the bigger, juicier targets and poke around them.
The AMS build, like just about every useful KFX build, gets
way better with the PR laser ears. With ECM+3xAMS and four high-mounted ERML, you can be really ballsy with your ridge peeking and usually get away with it. If you get into the KFX at all, I'd recommend buying a PR. The pods are just that strong compared to any other combination of KFX torso parts.
*edit: Some general advice for slow lights... always try to keep something big and dangerous looking between you and the bulk of the enemy team. Doesn't matter if it's actually in front of you (preferably not, or you might be blocking their retreat), but it should be closer than you are and in the same general direction. Poke out when your
meatshield buddy does, so that you aren't exposed alone if you can avoid it. Most of the time, the enemy will see the heavy or assault before they'll see you, and if you're very lucky they just won't notice you at all.
Don't stay exposed. Take your shot, then hide. Ideally, shoot, then hide, then reposition. If you have to peek repeatedly from the same place, then vary the amount of time between peeks to avoid being predictable. A predictable slow light is a slow light with a CT-sized hole in its CT.
