I'm looking to pick up some mechs to fill out my line-up during the sale, and the assassin caught my eye. It also caught my back, since I died to it a few times in matches.

So, I'm wondering which one is the best one to get. Should I grab the standard pack? Or just grab the hero DD and pop an ac/20 on it and run around giggling like a schoolgirl?

It is broken in an exploiting way. (hitboxes, overquirked, too fast/mobile, too smal)
PGI said they will fix it in one of the upcomming patches.
So don't spend money on it or wait how it performs after the nerfhammer.

it's fun to see them running around in packs. i never got them too work for me though, for srm spam, i find that the javelin usually performs just as good on the offensive side. but of course they are far more durable. will have to give their builds another thought.

Assassin 21 seems to be the favourite, worth getting for C-Bills.

Right now, the Assassin is a pretty good little SRM bomber, but it's getting nerfed soon so I'd wait to see how bad it turns out to be.

I own the ASN 21 and 23, love both of them.

But a cold wind blows, they're prly going to get nerfed I wouldn't doubt. Between the jj animations, that odd stride that it has, on top of it's rather narrow hitboxes people will find a lot of reasons to complain about it. Tbh I don't blame them.

Save the c bills and wait for the nerf tbh.

Don't bother with the pack, they are extremely cheap for c-bills. Buy multiple ASN-21 variants. The 23 is decent as well.

Quad SRM4 or SRM6 is amazing. Variations are simply the engine size and how much jump you desire.
