I'd settle for specialized missile munitions... i want inferno SRMs and swarm lrm's please.

I have a love hate relationship with them. Love to see them crash into crowds of the enemy but I have been on the recieving end too much for my liking.

You cant deny that visually its quite cool to see.

Camping really hurts this game.

There has to be a countermeasure in place against LRM and laser sniping/camping, otherwise that is the only thing we gonna see every game and I dont see how that is any fun at all.

Arty and Airstrikes make it so that team cannot safely camp a "fortified" position forever without at least taking some serious poke damage.

I think its a good mechanic.

That assumes the Mech was still pristine before the first Strike dropped. But just for some factual Info I found this. Note the damage per Component item... ;)

Was pristine, and you found the stats for artillery strike. I got hit by an airstrike.

Zero heat, zero tonnage, zero critical AoE weapons that you can even hit a target nobody can see otherwise, or a group far out of weapons range. What's not to love if you have the Cbills?

Arty strikes have even gotten me kills after I ended up destroyed, because my opponent proceeded to walk through where I'd dropped on at my feet prior to croaking and proceeded to soak up most of the incoming by exploding himself.

I don't see them as OP but I now and then see games ware CAS and ARTYs get a little out of hand. but its mostly people seeing the red smoke and not running away and just stay there in the same spot as CAS and ARTYs keep getting dropped on them.

Agreed, they are OP. Dealing too much damage, so lots of people are carrying it. I know i have been wrecked to half-dead from 100%. (And no you cant outrun them in every mech)

Just had about 8 dropped on our in a group queue match (I'm usually solo queue) so that was a huge amount of damage before they closed and finished us off.


I've never experienced this level of arty since I used to run Clan War all day against organized teams. Now you can bring 2 so you're light mechs are racking up 1200 damage games just from dropping in the center of a murder ball.



I have upped my back armor when I join some friends in group queue because it cores me from behind.
