Hello Fellow Mechwarriors,

As a casual pug MWO player :) I have a question concerning Faction Play Invasion Mode.
Are there any special builds for Faction Play? I have few nice solo mode builds but they don't wor esp. good in Faction Play (Invasion mode).
How to set up skills? Maybe it should be different fo FP? More in armor? Better mobilty? Firepower?

Any thoughts?

Best Regards

I have played both sides of the event since my merc group switched from IS to Clan mid event. Some general advice since you did not mention which faction you are interested in, what mechs you have or your prefered playstyle.

- Heavy or Assault class mech. Have long range direct fire weapons, PPCs, ER Large Lasers, or ACs. Stick with the team, use cover to avoid taking damage. Skill for Advanced Zoom is a must., your choice on other skills.
Clan Mechs : Dire Wolf, Kodiak Warhawk, Summoner, Hellbringer
IS Mechs : Battlemaster, Grasshopper, Warhammer, Cataphract, Catapult (K2)

- Light or Medium SRM ambusher. SRMs and maybe some backup weapons. Stay under cover till your big mech close with the enemy, then jump in the fight. You will want the Missiles buffs from the Firepower tree.
Clan Mechs : Jenner2C, Kitfox, Adder, Huntsman
IS Mechs: Griffin, Centurion, Wolverine

- ECM harasser. Same as quick play. Arctic Cheetah (short rane) or Shadowcat (long range) for Clans. Pirates Bane or Raven for IS. Be sure to pick up both ECM enhancements from the Sensors tree.
