The warhorn sound is not good in comparison with last year's model. Buy it for the poor man's premium time (+10% cbills & xp) And you won't be disappointed. If you want a warhorn, far, far better models are currently on sale at 50% off.

I mean, I may be oldfashioned, but I really think PGI should give a preview of the horn's sound (and visual effects) if they want to sell it.

In case anyone might be wondering, it seems that if you are a recipient of the 2016 and 2017 Tournament Supporter Packs then you do not receive the Patron Saint title. The advertisement's wording (players who "bought" the packs) is accurate, but different from other items (e.g., annual loyalty rewards, where someone receiving a mech pack as a gift counts as the owner/purchaser in terms of qualifying for rewards).

Another vote for the 2017 horn being crappy. Would rather trade it for a second 2016 one. :/

For the what does it sound like request, its a little electronic song, nowhere near the crowd cheering awesomeness of last years.

If you want to know what the horn sounds like I made the video for it and glad RUSS took my advice on placing it on a separate thread. LOL Was weird it was hard to find and they didnt place it in the normal updates instead linked in page two of MechCon

I have to say I don't like the sound. It is just another meaningless pop jingle, like so many other so-called 'horns' in MWO. Why not some actual war horn sounds, or some lore-related sounds? Why those utterly non-BattleTech, shallow jingles?

The awesome warhorn of last year's pack really made me regret not buying it, and I was rather determined to get this year's pack but....... probbaly not now?

I mean the C-bills are nice but I've got lots of Heroes and Loyalty etc. mechs that I could just purposely play for a bigger boost.
Don't need the XP as I've got Skillpoints coming out of the wazzoo with the refund.

Decal, title, the other cockpit items....meh, they just aren't the exiting part for me (though the cockpit items sure look nice)

But I was really looking forward to a warhorn that would give that tournament feel like last year's one. Some other crowd cheering effect, or chanting, or maybe somebody just going "BOOM!!". You know, something that makes it feel like an event.
This one...sounds like some of the more disappointing warhorns from the Resistance 1 pack.

The issue was not with the supporter packs, but with the participant ones.
The supporter packs are quite exceptional, although the horn isn't as great as last year, the other items are better though.
I would highly recommend this as a purchase.

I bought the Supporter pack as well. I received an email receipt of the transaction but no code to redeem the items.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
