Here's a... well, the title already says it.

While running foreward, move in a zig-zag way, so run left and right. Move your torso in the opposite direction, trying to point the cross-hair at the same point on the horizon or pick a tree, rock or building to aim at. The result should be that your torso remains pointed in the direction you are moving. With every mech the speed of your torso movement is a little different, but after a while you'll know how fast you have to move the torso to keep aiming at the target.

This exercise has three benefits:
1. You'll be harder to hit.
2. You'll develop a better feeling for how your mech moves.
3. You'll have better aim while moving. You might even come to the point where you can keep a laser, MG or RAC pointed at one component while moving and turning.

You can do this in the training grounds and of course in the beginning of a match. Of course the faster your mech, the more benefit you get. But even in slow mechs this should come easy to you, because it helps you aim.

Have a nice drop!

EDIT: The key to center the legs to the torso (default setting I think is "F") is a great help with this.

Nice post. That's some useful information. You might think about making a video to go with it. :)
