Shouldn't a Tag counter jamming towers? It counters a mech with ECM. Jamming towers are just stationary ECM towers right. I was unable to get a lock even with tag that was spot on an opponent when they were covered by the jamming towers.

They should because it would be nice. If you mean the towers in vip mode you have to stand right next to them to turn them to your side or put them in an off state. They have 1-2 laser turrets near they which are a huge annoyance if you are in a light 20-25 ton mech as they seem to do more damage than normal so I try and get a better armored mech to shoot them.

The laser turrets in incursion might be tag-abe but I haven't tried. I do know if you have high ground you can blind fire lrm at them so if you're trying to get some badly shot up mechs into base you can lrm the things. You can blind fire lrm on the bases too but you need los on high ground or some one spotting for you.

Those ECM jammers on Escort should be disabled, if a mech with BAP stand close to them. Posted Image

The ECM of those towers is weak, as they have no ECM nodes, just like the VIP. Anything protected by their ECM can be locked from fairly far.

You could not get a lock because the enemy was under two ECMs, and your tag only counters one.

Or, if you were inside the ECM bubble of the tower itself, then it is stupid and broken, as you can't counter it by any means.

I am pretty sure I was under the bubble of an ECM tower that we captured. The red targeting square was blinking on and off on the mech I was trying to target. I am not positive but it feels like when I left the bubble I was once again able to get locks. Is that the intended behavior. I guess I will need to avoid being in an ECM bubble if I want to shoot things with my missiles. Seems sort of silly that I would have to though.

Yes then you were being jammed by the ECM. Unlike mechs ECM, it can't be countered even by probe. It's stupid and makes no sense.

Im not 100% sure tag would counter the jamming, it's applicable only to streak boats as LRMs are useless at the ECM jam range anyway.
