This current event is fine in just about all aspects except for the "Faction Play Mode Challenge." The requirements of winning one of each game mode is leaving way too much to RNG in the fact that you have to first have the game mode even pop up. THEN you must win it.
I get that this is a "challenge." I get that. Yet how can one complete a challenge if I have been playing for a couple of hours at a time since the event started and I have yet to see an Assault match as of this writing? I have seen more Siege matches than anything else, and if this trend keeps up I wont even see an assault mode....thus not even having a chance to even complete this challenge.
I especially feel sorry for people who play casually. Who only have say an hour or two each day to play.
I love you guys and gals in PGI for what you have done with this game so far. I love it. However, this RNG factor is one thing that does not make it enjoyable in the least. If it were wins in any game mode I would understand that....id accept that, but each game mode...I am sorry...its frustrating beyond belief.

PGI needs to understand the average hours each person plays and who they are trying to market an event too. If you make an event that only the hardcore players have a chance to get then you alienate the casual/ any new players.

They need to just make it a certain # of different mode wins ....not a win in each and every mode as the event isn't necessarily long enough to see each and every mode with how their rng is set up to stack certain modes.

and i bet their shiny new event tracker makes it impossible to make changes to a running event.

With this much agreement on how crap part of this event is and how it’s making people really unhappy I would have thought they would have at least tried to help make things better.

the untold side of the 'shiny new event system' is that its automated and pgi can run events without any effort on their part now. have a feeling the thing was designed so it would be impossible to make changes once an event started.

Ok well if that’s how it is then they could at least tell us for sure and say something like “yeah sorry we cocked up but from now on things like this won’t happen anymore but we can’t change this event” then at least week is they are listening to us and trying to please the people that keep them in a job.

However, it stayed in the first phase throughout.
Then, I had to go work for 45 minutes. During that 45 minutes, the tug of war went through and past the Domination Phase.
FML. And PGI for that matter. I warned them prior to the Challenge starting that this would happen. Just like it happens every time they create a Challenge that relies on the random availability of a mode.
But there was no response, of course.
