gentlemen, the situation is dire. in the aftermath of 4 successful invasions, and deux ex machina like restorations of our realms, we are, for the fourth time in a handful of years, asked to band together to defend the inner sphere. today, we make our stand on luthien. the odds look slim, but recent improvements from comstar to technology have reached most front and second line units by now. it isnt much, but when youve fought for years with less, its at least something. attached to this missive are blueprints for a fighting force that our analysts say will have an increased effect upon our ability to hold off the clan agressors. it isnt much, but after years of being crushed, something is better than nothing i suppose. our greatest fighting forces have been lost in the many past battles, and many have been taken bondsmen, now fighting for our enemies like the traitors phelan kell and trent do for us. the situation is bleak, but hope still exists. make good use of these blueprints men, and god save us all."
