After logging into the game, the very first load screen freezes. When I Alt-Tab out and back , the game will advance to next screen. This happens with every screen. Mouse cursor looks and moves normally. When i click on an option, (Mech Bay, Settings, etc ) I need to Alt-Tab out and back in for anything to happen. The game screen remains frozen with the exception of the mouse cursor everytime.

I've run the repair Tool and have deleted and reinstalled MWO both through Steam and Standalone several times.. After each uninstall, I've cleaned the registry and deleted any folder with Piranha and MWO.

A support ticket has been submitted but no help has been forthcoming.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Are you playing in Full Screen or Full Window mode? If Full Screen try Full Window mode.

Reinstall directx 9c. Yes, even if you are using Directx 11. Roll back or uninstall/reinstall older driver first..version 17.10.1

Should also disable Windows 10 driver update ability. I had issues when Windows 10 did a major update and re-enabled its driver update. Took me a few days to track that down.

Going to Windowed worked. Not optimal but at least it works again.

Hai, depending on drivers, system setup, etc, people have always running into issues when running a game in Full Screen mode while tabbing in/out. At least MWO does have both Full Windows and Windowed modes. I only use Windowed mode when I am running or testing a weird game resolution.
