I didn't know there were so many MechWarrior games published. My first and last battletech game was Mechwarrior 2: 31st century combat when I as 8 years old.

Yeah there's been quite the number of titles (Mechwarrior and Battletech related). I remember finding an old Battleforce game on my dad's Amiga library of games years ago. I still have a box for Crescent Hawk's Revenge somewhere.

I started playing on the Table Top before they even made lead figures. we used cardboard pictures on little plastic hex holders

Years later i was the first of my friends to buy crescent hawks inception, and the only one to actually have a computer, an old 8088 pc. Ive played just about every one since.

Is it bad that some of the mechs looked cooler in those cutouts than even the remake ones PGI has?

Though they included Living Legends, I did not see EGA Multiplayer Battletech (MPBT 3025) which used the original Mechwarrior as the basis for its combat engine, SVGA MPBT which became MPBT Solaris then MPBT 3025 beta w/EA which had a cloned MW4 combat engine, all done by Kesmai.

GEnie 1991-1996, AOL-Gamestorm 1995-2001, EA 2001

And hai, Crescent Hawks Inception and Crescent Hawks Revenge.

There was Also MekTek, which was a mod of the MW4 engine, they went on to include many mechs not included in the Mercs rollout

Those cutouts do look pretty cool. That Spider looks vicious! Wish I could have that in this game.
