PGI destoyed minimap somewhere around Crimson Strait update which was in 2016 I guess.
IT'S BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR.
If you forgot, old minimap was monochrome with totally readable heights so you could legitimately navigate your mech while watching on your minmap ONLY.
Current garbage is just a picture of rendered map. Bright, colorful, messy, with 0 useful information.
Fix it. Just fix it.

Weird... I've found the Colored MiniMap to be rather useful to me on figuring out where to travel.

If anything, however, PGI really needs to make the following changes...
  • Provide multiple zoom levels for the MiniMap, which would deal with a lot of problems in battle.
  • Expand the Seismic Sensor Skill Nodes by 25 Meters each, making each worth 125 Meters instead of just 100.
(The way the minimap is being handled, the extra distance is needed to make it usefully functional.)
...should they wish to make people more happy about any differences in the MiniMap systems.
