It's a feature of the event, most likely. It's one of the tools the "matchmaker" can use to ensure one side wins, as predicted. Kick a guy or two, make them reconnect. Kinda like a delayed entry.

I can’t say for sure that it’s the root cause to the issues but it’s likely

That's from PGI's IT rep yesterday regarding the issue you're likely talking about OP. Nothing to do with PGI directly.
