Hi guys,

I am currently mastering the Wolfhound, for Mobility skill tree, I plan to upgrade the right side only, getting Anchor Turn and Speed Tweak. Something like this: https://kitlaan.gitl...b66b6#s=Agility

Is it a correct path? Usually what nodes you guys take on light mechs?

Personal opinion is that the speed tweaks are the most important in the tree. I always get all of those then fill in around it with what I have left.

Depends on what you want to do with it. What matters is will it work for how you intend to use the machine?
Note you had it set for the values of IS Heavy.
Set it for the values of IS Light to get the true values for what you would get.

My own nodes depend on the intended use of the mech. Sometimes they get some mobility nodes, sometimes they get full mobility, and some have received no mobility nodes whatsoever.

Mr brother runs the wolf 2 as a dedicated anti-light hunter-killer. Here's the tree he uses:

https://kitlaan.gitl...e81df#s=Weapons

34 into fire power for the cool down on lasers with a few heat gen, 40 mobility, and 17 survival for the armor nodes. The build: WLF-2 Hunter-Killer

I went left side on my WLF mobility tree, because most of the weapons are in the torso and more torso speed means quicker snap-shooting. I also run LFE on mine, so I like the extra torso speed so that I can tank more effectively with the LA/LT.

This.
Usually not worth putting points in otherwise

Absolutely agree. For a light mech speed is crucial to both its surviveability and its function. In addition, most bonuses are percentage based, so a higher base value means higher actual bonus. Each percent of speed bonus to a 120 mph mech is worth twice as much as that node is worth to a 60 kph mech. Makes absolutely sense to go for speed nodes, and the bonuses along the way are also very good for light mechs.

For My Javelin, I went into the mobility mostly for the "Torso enhancement" nodes. Given that all my weapons are in the side torsos, having better torso speed, torso pitch, and torso yaw, makes it easier to line up shots. I already move at 139kph, so speed tweak seems a little over-kill to me.. I might still get some if I have extra points though.

I guess I'm one of the only people who will disagree here. Light 'Mechs really don't benefit all that much from Mobility improvements, they're already fast enough to do what they need to do. Speed Tweak is only a situational advantage in strategic ways, mostly in Incursion and Conquest game modes, and then only if you're running the objectives. It really doesn't help with combat at all, so it's a near worthless skill, and that is especially true for already fast Lights, which can outrun nearly everything that can already outgun them anyway.

Take all applicable Firepower skills, take all Armor skills, take the overpowered Coolshot skills(until they're nerfed), and take enough Sensor skills to get the wall hack, "Seismic Sensor", at least one node. Here's roughly what I do, as a baseline: https://kitlaan.gitl...ba56c#s=Weapons

DO NOT waste your points in the mobility tree! The Wolfhound is mobile enough. Your points should go into armor, heat gen, mech cooling. Armor -- because you need all the armor you can get, Heat gen in weapons because, in a wolfhound, you will be quite heat limited which will DRASTICALLY affect your performance. Cooling for the same reason as heat gen. You may want 1 or 2 radar deprivation if you are not yet good at evading incoming missiles but weapons and structure and operations are your best friends with the wolfhound.

Those who tell you to get speed tweak ARE WRONG... plain and simple -- absolutely wrong -- as wrong as you can possibly get.
