If i carefully put together a legal case for sueing HG out of existance, would you, the community stand with me?

Im tired of having my favorite franchise pushed around ,bullied, asphyxiated, and smothered by HG's obsease thumb. Its time we the people stood up and have our voices heard.

As for the topic title, I think it goes without saying that it's meaningless bluster. You don't have the standing to sue. The best anyone can do is to let go of their personal nostalgia and beg PGI, HBS and CGL to stop baiting HG.

Litigation by kickstarter (or whatever) is just not feasible.

Besides, at some point HBS and PGI will write a check just to make HG go the hell away and then they can get back to business. Frankly from my jaded hack attorney point of view, all three are idiots for not settling this sooner. They are all such small potatoes that the cost of this litigation is going to kill one or more of them -win or lose- if they don't get this thing dealt with before it goes to trial (which is why I know they will get this done before then).

Good luck coming up with a case against HG that doesn't get thrown out because you don't have any claim to the properties. Having a game account doesn't count since it's owned by someone else and not you.

Oh man, if only I got 100MC from everyone that told me that the HGR wouldn't become the go-to short range weapon for the IS when it was first announced, I could buy every hero mech in the game right now....

This is the real problem. As much as I can empathize with OP's sentiment, there's simply no legal precedent to sue someone regarding something that doesn't involve you on any level. Your suit would be summarily dismissed as frivolous, and you'd be out a couple hundred bucks for filing fees and to have HG served with the papers.

Just hope that a major earthquake hits LA and either Harmony Gold crumbles down into a sinkhole or gets destroyed by a natural disaster. I'm sorry if this offends the good people from California (I know that there are still some good people there), but there is just too much corruption and bullsh*t that comes from there.

No. I'm not giving up mech nostalgia because some self entitled a holes want to abuse the legal system at the expense of everyone else's misery. At the very least, mod support for MW5:Mercs will give enough incentive for modders to make our classic mechs that we love and enjoy in Battletech. Harmony Gold can't do jack sh*t about free community mods.

Haven't played regular since before Civil War dropped. Getting back in and getting used to shjt like HG. This morning a Cyclops on HPG popped me open like a fuckjng can of Guinness.

Yes, they can be very fustrating but when you catch them by surprise or right after they've fired, they have 5 second cooldowns with little to no back up weapons. Take advantage of this and pummel one of their side torsos and let that mother****** pop like a water balloon.
