I think they're seriously overestimating how successful the Solaris update will be.

I'm expecting it to become the new CW in terms of success.

CW was supposed to be end-game. They ruined it, and instead of fixing it, they're trying again at the arena esport BS.

First, I think it's stupid.

Second, they're killing Faction play for 2-4 weeks after the release of Solaris. The crazy sons of ******* are actually doing it.

To be fair, isn't that what we have already just with bigger maps and based around two teams?

Russ finally calling it what it is. This isn't a Mechwarrior game, it's an arena-based shooter. The real Mechwarrior game is MW5. Once again the community has been duped. The ocean that parts our islands and PGI HQ has gotten wider.

It's going to be for 2-4 weeks then they'll be putting focus on it again.

Also a bunch of FW changes coming march.

Hope Solaris does well, if it tanks then it's either back to what we have now for a few more years or people jump ship to MW5/Battletech. You hype up something too much too soon and it only lasts for a short period of time before people get bored of it.

Sort of like a new game that you're interested in, you're better off ignoring it until it's released so that you don't get sick of it too soon. You follow every single detail up until then, try it, then maybe a couple days later you want to play something else because that excitement is gone.

I get that you do have to do some marketing to promote your upcoming product, but this might be that too much too soon moment.

It's just a logo and name, nothing more, that's how I understand it. They already have the logo on the Solaris 7 page.

So around the time the battletech game releases we will have a population shift to play a different mode and then the CW mode will be changed shortly after that? We need more population.

Nobody likes long queues.

What part? Changes like dropping loyalty point penalties and binding contracts have already been detailed in roadmap.

Or do you refer to some vague idea about "making CW great again". Not really going to happen and I don't think anyone would expect that.

2-4 weeks and they're turn FP back on. 4-6 months until they're focus shifts from Solaris.
