Also I don't understand why the LRMs needed a velocity increase. They are already extremely effective and even OP on maps like Polar Highlands. Why are they in need of a buff again? I mean usually when something is really bothering players there are quite a few forum posts about it. I haven't seen one, not one post commenting LRMs needed a buff.

Which goes on to say, "Why the hell does PGI keep fixing things that aren't broken?" I mean if your players don't feel there is a problem, then why would you mess with it and potentially CREATE a problem. PGI has done this over and over and over, I mean it is like they intentional are sabotaging their game by making changes intentionally designed to stir up trouble. I just don't get it.

LRMs have been in need of a Velocity buff for a long time,
many times it been discussed, many many times, and its needed to make them better at long range,
on most maps it would say LRMs are not viable, and in some instances a hindrance,

LRMs i wouldnt say are OP on any map, have AMS or ECM they are useless,
and TAG / NARC requires another mech to spot for you to be in any way effective,
if you TAG / NARC for your self? why not then bring a Direct fire weapon then,
most are more effective than LRMs with LOS so theirs no advantage,

FYI: You're doing it 'wrong'...

Because computer guided weaponry that only requires the skills of:

1. Put little circle in bigger square.
2. Wait for bigger circle.
3. Pull trigger.

So, you're saying we should nerf ATMs and Streaks as well, by that measure. LRMs already get the biggest nerf of all in terms of MWO weaponry- the utter inability to concentrate damage. They also get the lowest damage dealt per projectile (tied with LB-X cluster, of course...but you can actually concentrate that by positioning and/or aiming the shotgun).

And compared to even those:

ATMs hit far harder, rewarding getting up close with higher damage to compensate for spreading it around. They also need LOS, of course. They still have (marginally) higher velocity as well, meaning they're still a bit more accurate.

Streaks no longer target destroyed sections, meaning they don't waste their spread and actually get more efficient as a target loses body parts. Despite having a vastly inferior range to either LRMs or ATMs, they get better velocity than either- which would be like making AC/20's faster than AC/2's.

Should they be inferior to non-guided weapons? Yes, but at this point they're inferior to a level that verges on non-viable barring massive tube counts, and even then, you're talking mediocre. This was a tiny step up because there's endless pull from both sides, both scrubs going "OMG THE LURMS" and people like you thinking that somehow, even gradual adjustment will result in some kind of nightmare realm in which there is only lurm metas.

Are you blind?

Most LRM topics end up a buff/nerf/change discussion at this point.

Actually you can fit it on a Battlemaster, but you have to go 32 kph and have no armor in order to do so.

You can fit them on but you cant leave the mech bay because you dont have enough heat sinks

Sweet we really needed the main lobby screen to take longer to load!

So much this. The front end has always been such a dumpster fire.

so according to them 6 heavy larges is still a reasonable build, good to know

Actually 7 as well as 7 Heavy ppcs cuz thats a thing.

The MASC nerf was really needed too. Filling the bar 10% slower is not what i would call a buff or even just tweaking. Its was a nerf NO ONE USES MASC NOW unless it hard locked so why are we making it worse tech?

Making the bar fill slower means you can use it longer before you get leg damage. Pretty sure that's objectively a buff. Maybe not a great buff, but a buff nevertheless.

is it really though? Using it for 10% longer isnt gonna be what makes me put it on my Wolverine.

You can most definitely argue that the buff is not large enough to make a difference. What you can't argue is the fact that it's not a nerf.

Supply Caches

So, you get Supply Cache Points (SCP) and work to unlock a Supply Cache....via progress bar. OK.
  • Do you get to choose the Rarity?
  • What does it take to unlock your Supply Cache? MC?
  • If MC, is cost increased for Cache Rarity?

(1) well their are 4 rarities so im guessing their would be 4 progression bars, each will fill at different rates,
(2) well as keys are being refunded, perhaps they will be free to open, which is a possibility,
(3) well not sure, but it doesnt say anything about Keys determining Cashe rarity,
