I mean really, Cohh and Christopher Odd were idiots. Odd doesn't even know why he couldn't put the second LRM rack in his other side-torso of the Cent A.

And why are they aren't even trying to use multiple LRM5s to be surrogate LRM10s and LRM15s? 2 LRM5s are 4 tons where an LRM10 is 5 tons, and 3 LRM5s are 6 tons when LRM15s are 7 tons.

Why is that Cohh is forcing two AC5s on his Blackjack with only a single ton of ammo -- or 15 shots, or roughly 7 turns. Why isn't he maxing his armor? WHy isn't he jump jetting or using death from above? I mean i get that it's hot, but it's not like he have hot builds.

I believe death from above actually has some significant penalty using it, like pilot injury.

I'm pretty sure that it just damages the legs, which can end up destroying the legs of the mech. But i think it's still usable if there's plenty of armor (and heat) to spare. Something that Cohh doesn't do even if he has both.

Pilot takes damage if you fail a pilot roll and fall down.

See, exploring stuff/builds is half the fun and that means exploring shortcomings as well as successes and maybe you find something you never thought would work - at least it gives a better understanding and helps you developing a good sense of how the game mechanics work which will help you in the end.
Applying a build-perfect-template someone else has developed makes you only a undeveloped copy of them...
And a good amont of fun in Battletech that time is the "work with what you have" Approach as all things are short in stockage, malfunctiuoning or unavailabe which makes salvage such an interesting game concept that no other BT-Era does that well.
They have fun and will Play (thus pay) the game and that means more BT game content incoming - so rejoyce!

I haven't watched the others, but Cohh is IMO learning that stuff at a healthy pace.

AFAIK he has no background at all with this stuff. Building 'mechs in BT isn't really simple, I doubt any of us learned all the tricks in an hour.

I haven't caught his last stream, but the last I saw he was already learning the 'mech roles. For example utilizing that semi-stock Panther pretty well as ranged support. Also up-armouring and up-sinking some stock designs. I think in cases he went for oversinking though, like that Griffin only running one PPC.

It's not terribly demanding, if you can run MWO you can definitely run HBS BT. The Beta was OK on my laptop (core i7, Geforce 740M).

I did watch that guy Cohh but he seemed to loose interest at the end and started talking about other games

I only somewhat like the game but I feel obligated to buy it plus I need to play something

the game seems bogged down with reading and to much Mechanics
its almost like they are making a sales pitch for a big screen movie

Not sure I wanna play BT, but what I REALLY wanna play is MW5.
Actually that's funny. If anyone remember Front Mission games from SNES-PS, I was really in love with them. 3-4 years ago, I was desperately searching webz for literally anything related to tactical, turn based mech combat game, something that isn't old FM (which I played to death), but rather new and sexy. Desire for something like that completely died off like a year ago, and now HBS gonna release Battletech. Ugh...

Since game is turn based, and it doesn't really have specs through the roof, any framerate drops or other similar unpleasantries wouldn't be as noticeable as in action game (if at all), so you'll be good.

I want to play it because this game holds no fun anymore.. Its all about TTK, meta, jarls list idiocy, epeens and money no longer about mechwarrior.. or Battletech...

Honestly this game has lost the plot.

nothing interest to a Further "try to make a game" from PGI with Cannonfodder Pve and gerneric Bases in Generic Missions ...A good old strategical turnbased Game like Mektek or Front Mission or Xcom the best what going ...not all the ADHS-RTS games like Starcraft

I hope so, since I can only play MWO with 20-30 fps on all very low settings. Sometimes it can dip below 20 fps.
