So, as a long time player coming back I was interested to find Solaris in the lineups. However it has not been a pleasant experience for me as I keep being finding myself up against enemy mechs that not only out tonnage me, but which also appear to be players personal customised mechs whereas I appear stuck with the useless trial mechs that are woefully undergunned and heat inefficient.

Can anyone help me out here and tell me how to get a good mech (IE one I have customised) into the game?

There is a "select mech" button in the lower row. You could also go into the mechlab (in solaris mode) and then select a mech you own.
You have access to all the mechs you own in Solaris, just devided into the 7 devision.
