Just got matched up with my worst team ever... It was me in a FNR-5(S) and a good player in a SNS-ML with a team full of what appeared to be half-programmed bots against a team of moderately competent players. I got the only kill, and we lost badly. (this was conquest, and we lost because we all died)

Fret not for in the land pugs all is not guaranteed. Ofcourse a better matchmaker would be nice to evenly distribute player skill, but alas i dont know when that will be. Until then my friend i recomend not having high expectations in qpPosted Image

At times the stupidity of players can be so jarring, tou just wonder if they're actual players playing at times.
But then agian I try not to pay attention to my team because seeing stupidy piss me off most of the time.

I have been on both end of this. Stomper and stomped.

The biggest issue is some players just follow blindly the fastest mech. eg lights trying to get behind the other team.
They get caught in a nice big conga line and get chewed up very quick, especially when they have 2-3 shooting directly and one or two lrm'ing them to death.

Learn to just let it go, no matter how irritating it is. Either solo qp will get back to normal, or this game will be deserted, oh wait it already is.

Upset with MM? In my mind that's probably the biggest problem in this game. I want to organize as many folks as possible on discord so we can try and coordinate the best way to get the changes we want affected. Just posting something in feature suggestion page on your own has not been very effective. We need to try a different approach.

If any one is interested in that let me know.

OP is reverse bragging by implying that this was the only game he's ever played where he lost

How long do you think PGI has been testing their AI in at least QP for? To keep up the numbers and attempt to make something mildly passable for MW5.

Quick play is just one big experiment, also for taking derp mechs I wouldn't take in faction play. :P

That's unfortunate, OP.

On opposite last evening had a blast in solo QP, played like 8-9 matches, around 6 of them were exemplar teamplay performances with VOIP callouts and overall great tactical coverage, 2 ended up in 12-0 stomp wins. **** happens, but QP is rarely as bad as people try to paint it, while good solution to decent match is to talk over some strategical points in type of reminder pre-match, share some build info, positions, etc.

I am surprised that the forum regulars haven't called you names and berated you on a personal level? Was that one kill a major forum contributor-player?

As someone said above: QP should be a place for testing and informal combat; a place for new pilots to try, test, fail and learn. GP is where you can take-on team oriented combat on a smaller scale. FP is.............something else that many avoid at all costs...

Woah mate! Where all that negativity coming from?

He wasn't complaining or anything of the matter or making a huge fool of himself to garner such a thing.

And what make you think QP should be stated as above, because you won't learn much from QP as it don't teach most of the proper skills and actions. It better off learning from someone else in a group or a unit to teach such things.

QP is much more of a Wild West anything goes.

Pug life man. The gudder one gets, the more wins one can drive, but sometimes it’s hopeless. Still, things don’t seem all that bad. I played four QP matches last night and had one team of total potatoes. Sucks when it happens, but that seems a manageable level of stachy buildup.

How do you manage to even get good matches now? Matchmaking have been terrible for me since implementation on 3x4 and release of Clans. There were period in the past, when game was simply unplayable.

This is a daily occurrence for me. Its basically the norm. Either we be the ones stompin' or we be the ones gettin' stomped.

Usually because people split up and do their own dang-patootin' thing, AND NOT WORK TOGETHER LIKE THEY SHOULD.
