I like the neon color scheme, reminds me of an 80's Blade-Runner vibe. It's a shame I only see it for about 5 seconds until I turn on the night vision. I mainly know the map as green and black. Can't see lights ripping by a narrow shooting window, or ECM folks otherwise, and too close to take that risk.
Seems like a waste of a lot of design time. I hate River City in the dark as well though, so same-ol same-ol.
Maybe change the time of day to twilight versus midnight? I would enjoy the actual colors more...
