I love Conquest whether it is QP or FP. Good times!

Assault and Skirmish are just no mods. Create a map with nothing in it and it will win prizes. Maybe fits to the attention span of the kids today.

PGi: Ok guys we;ll give you assault,escort and conquest.
Assault gives you another way to win, and makes it slightly more tactical but still similar to DM.
Escort makes the game more mobile as you have to follow the VIP-it'll help stop camping.
Conquest forces players to move about the map and forces players to stop camping, it also gives you more money!
Players: Butz....we no likes this! We haz to run about and not campzorz and snipe from max range!!!!! We dont likz dis tactics stuff! We have to talk to other payers...pgi sukz!!!!!!

Conquest is not Skirmish. Many players want only Skirmish.

Did you mean Conquest, or Faction Play?

Have guns will travel, kill for pay or shoot to maim but we do not a reason. The Golden Goose is on the loose and never out of season.( mix of tv westerns and Iron Maiden)

With FP you get what you get. Conquest is randomly chosen for you.

He's not talking about the game mode "Conquest", he's talking about Faction Play, the mode based around... conquering the Inner Sphere... which doesn't have a lot of players, at least not compared to QP.

Conquest would be much more interesting if it worked more like Assault; You only get points as long as there is a mech standing on the control point.
