I was looking for the lists of mechs most suitable for clan and inner sphere drop decks, but I can't find the topics anymore. Does anyone have a link?

But afaik there was also an inner sphere specific list.

3 LBKs and a MDD.

Mix of WHR, GHR, RGH, or Anni, Mal, WHR/GHR and a Wolfhound.

That's your options.

Blood Asp, 2x linebacker and a cougar.

That's as fun as it gets in this game.













Atlas, onion, Roughneck and commando if you REALLY want fun.

LBKs are good for everything from conquest to assault. Big alpha, fast, easy to overrun people with it. There's no map or mode save maybe Vitric where LBK isn't strong.

Ehh there is only 1 mech you really need in Faction play when playing IS.

REALLY want fun it is an Anni and three Urbies painted like Minions. They hate loosing to Urbies if you can shoot straight from laughing so hard...

True but not a lot of room to maneuver. LBK is best played overrunning and getting in to backs. On Vitric you've got tight spaces and narrow lanes, you really want to get some strong hits in beyond 300m before you get into HGauss optimal.

eh, shoot through your team mates; it's their fault for running into an Anni. :)

I say that as a guy who walks into every Anni on the map. My back only has 4 armor; if someone needs me out of the way it don't take much. Hahaha

Well I'd argue that given how many times I've seen them fail, even 3 waves of them. Given they are only close range, if you setup properly they just won't work.

It fails for most teams because they push the middle of the line instead of the end or they don't really push. Unless it's Skirmish and the other team can go find a corner edge of the map and just hide against it there's no map you can't get to about 500m on. If it is Skirmish and they move to a corner and set a line you can airstrike one guy down, farm him in the DZ and then go pick a real tight space and force the other team to come brawl. On any other mode if the other team is stupid enough not to protect their objectives but instead go sets a firing line far away, well, they deserve to lose.

There's good alternatives for most maps/modes. We don't actually do 13 LBKs with few exceptions but if you're aggressive the LBK is an excellent mech for FW. Reasonably tanky, fast enough to control positioning and a huge alpha for brawling. Outside of FW there is often better options (though I saw a lot in every div in MRBC this year. Several matches teams actually duped LBKs instead of a ranged heavy or WLF/MLX. Surprised me) but for Clans vs IS? For the tonnage it's a great choice.

You want the MDD wave 3. Streaks to farm that damage up and kill the Lolcusts and Commandos from the "LOL you guys have to chase me! I'm popular at last!" guys.

If you want the Inner Sphere drop deck of doom, just do ANH - WHM - WHM - COM.

Is best deck.

Alternatively,

CP-S - WHM - WHM - JVN / WLF.

WHM - WHM - WHM - BSW

VTR-9S - VTR-9S - VTR-9S - COM

(warhammer variants not listed because multiple variants fit. VTR-9A1 can be used in place of VTR-9S for a more midrange deck, but that one is one of my favorites for conquest)

Not everyone plays this style.

Of those that do, only your unit is able to pull it off against good teams.

MischiefSC is KCOM, right? I was on the receiving end of that LBK rush a few days back, it's way harder to deal with than I thought if you execute it right. Good stuff.
