Welcome to new episode of the Mech Showcase.
Today we'll check the two mechs, each of different origin, using different tech-base, yet similiar in purpose, class and most importantly - they're from the same lineage.

May I present you the Clan OmniMech "Fire Falcon" and it's IS cousin, the BattleMech "Stiletto".

First, let's begin with the OmniMech.

The Fire Falcon was created in the early-3050s, apparently as a replacement for the Mist Lynx. The Fire Falcon is faster, has more front-facing armor, and more pod space, though it lacks the Jump Jets of that earlier 'Mech. It makes use of weight-saving materials in the form of an XL Engine, an Endo Steel internal structure, and four tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor. Clan Jade Falcon first produced this OmniMech on their capital of Ironhold, but they soon began to produce it on the Occupation Zone headquarters of Sudeten. In November of 3069, Clan Steel Viper would sack Ironhold as part that Clan's effort to expel the Jade Falcons from the Clan Homeworlds. The invasion would end up destroying the Fire Falcon's production facilities, letting the design fade from use by Homeworlds based Clans.

Now let's proceed to the Stiletto. It's a relative to the Fire Falcon, because it's a one of three known reverse-engineered mechs in IS (others are Rakshasa made from Timber Wolf and Black Hawk-KU from Nova. Only BH-KU retained it's Omni properties, but it has to be enlarged for less efficient IS technology).

The Stiletto was engineered in a similar vein as the Black Hawk-KU or the Rakshasa, using examples of Fire Falcon OmniMechs salvaged from the battlefield immediately following the Battle of Coventry. The Stiletto has an identical speed profile as the Fire Falcon with a VOX 280 Light Engine giving it a top speed of 129.6 km/h. The Stiletto also has an almost identical visual profile to the 'Mech which it tries to emulate, and is built on a lightweight MatherTech 750 Endo Steel chassis that supports six tons of Lexington Ltd. High Grade Ferro-Fibrous with CASE to protect against an ammunition explosion. The Stiletto also has a Guardian ECM Suite which protects the 'Mech from advanced electronic warfare equipment.
