It's hard enough to get "Jimmy" off his phone and checking his "Likes" on facebook during a game, but now it seems as if common Table Top games are being besieged by various phone apps for rolling dice, strategy, or other building elements that are all designed to aid the user in winning. The problem with this is simple. It boils down to cheating. Then you have look alike apps, not to mention hacks, that take the fun and challenge out of playing a table top game, with no distinction. It does not matter if it's a traditional table top pen and paper game or even a game involving miniatures.
The only solution for this is to hold to traditional dice, and ban any use of electronic aid, or alternate use from the gaming table. These apps take all the fun out of every game.
