So, couple of weeks now that the tournament began. Whats it like? We like to join with our unit, but we cant manage to get enough people online during the "playdays".
So whats the meta like? Brawl for the win? Mechs? Enough teams online? Waiting times?

I am curious!

Ps: Thank you!

Stock mechs for the win.
It seems that everyone is running them nowadays!

If you aren't running stock, you aren't running comp queue!

Sounds like you really need to read up on the rules and what not first mate. :)

The link Queenblade posted has the information and there are other tabs with further info like prizes, when the time window for matches is and so on.

As for the games etc. It's largely a farm-fest for the top teams in the game, just like it was always going to be. I wouldn't say it's a brawl fest at all. Plenty of ranged play options, albeit not as longer in range, if that makes sense?

There are less teams playing this year (so far) than last year which means on the 'game window days' sometimes there are not many games to be had at all or for very long.

It seems the Tue Evening US / Sat Evening US are the most populated to get games. The Sat evening being Sun lunch-time Oceanic so there are usually a few more teams out from Oceanic side as they can barely get games in Oceanic timeslot. It seems the Thurs evening US is the 'quieter' time right now out of the window (assuming here you are US timezone unit).

Guys! I know that! I though that it is clear. I just wanted to have some impressions of a few games.... How does that Stock tournament feel like? is it crap or is it fun. Which of the stock mechs tend to be "Meta". Which tactics seem to be most successfull? We made a couple of test matches in the weeks before to find our "meta"and i just wanted to know, what the others come up with (even though we might not be able to join anymore due to lack of pilots)

Anyway, thank you for some of the answers justcallme A S H. Also thanks to the others. It was a misunderstanding, but you tried to help somebody who looks like an idiot without being rude, which is nice anyway! ;)

Ah ok so in that respect - the "meta" depends on what your team is good at.

And that is how you define it. Each team is strong in some areas and weak in others.

Stock mode... it is

different.

You play the game unlimited for years, then suddenly your 300+ mechs are reduced to less than 50 and you can't use more than half of the game's features.

But once you are in a drop, the same mechanics you used for years are still needed, nothing changed there.

From my point of view the cap aspect of conquest is a lot more important in this WC then it was in the WCs before.

The majority of the stock mechs are rather slow and the faster ones are with few exceptions not especially good in a fight.

Seen a lot of Annihilators on the field, which are great when fighting and not so great when trying to get that last cap flipped before you lose.

As mentioned before the sniper setups are not as dominant as they were in full mod.

I generally like the games, they are a lot slower from a TTK perspective and not every mistake makes you instantly lose the games.

With my team (which is not a top team by any definition) we had some great games and very few stomps against top teams. Even in the stomps we were able to kill a couple of mechs, which we usually don't in full mod against 228/EON/EMP.

I like it.
