So I was testing out Solaris Div 4 builds tonight, and got absolutely trashed by like 5000 people.

Emotion was high to say the least. Somehow, I can't find a build that allows me to fire past 4 alphas before shutting down and/or spend 2 minutes trying to cooldown while being peppered by SRMs or those god forsaken AC2s (such trashy build so good in solaris because there's no need to relocate those 40 kph jaegers to a better firing position)

Anyways, final game of the night, exploited jaeger by shooting his arms off. At which point, I decided to vent a little and find out how these guys are able to sustain fire (Like my 4 AC5s Jaeger shut down after 7-8 seconds) without shutting down. I started a friendly chat with him.

So he responded, whether because he was forced to (cause, you know, I practically won), or maybe he was genuinely nice, I don't know. But we got a few min of convo going.

At the end, I decided I am going to give this guy the win, cause you know, forced or not, at least he appeared to be a nice dood. And after going like 0-8 tonight, I could care less about win/loss.

So I said gg and exit out.

Then I realized after a few minutes (went back to twitch)... holy crap, this is not Starcraft. I don't think exiting out lose automatically since I notice that my mech was still locked... meaning it's in game...

And yea... I basically left a super cruel decision for him and I feel super bad. He either spend the next 8 min trying to ram my mech to death and go for the win, fail and get a draw, or exit and get a draw.

So if you are reading this (and you probably know who you are), my bad dood, I really DID NOT MEAN TO TROLL YOU. I genuinely wanted to give you the win. I didn't think the outcome was going to be that outcome... so my bad!

PS PGI, why is there not a forfeit match button?

Is it possible to eject? I've not tried it in s7. The only hope of beating a Jager is to knock its arms off, they will deal more damage than you but that damage is spread over time. A high alpha 'Mech can distribute that damage across itself inbetween launching pinpoint attacks that land in more or less the same location. Easier said than done of course, but that's the only way short of running a mirror build.

No eject in s7. That would be nice as a forfeit button equivalent. [Redacted] Eject is not just for my situation, but say I want to eject out of a match I know I already lost...

Like this idiot earlier tonight, I lost the match basically 30 seconds in, and just told him to go ahead. This absolute [Redacted] spent the next 2 minute slowly piecing me apart, as if 50k extra cbill is really worth wasting my time and locking up my mech. Those situation would be good to just eject.

Man, you missed pretty important part: I don't run Jaegers, but I'm still curious, how does he manage to sustain fire without shutdowns? What did he say?

Div 4 you say? Hrm... let's see...

My tried and true ZEU-5S A manhandles just about everything, including pesky Jagers. Has a 4 Alpha threshold while moving on Caustic (17 with only AC+SRMs).

Then there's the UAC5 version to capitalize on the quirk: ZEU-5S B

And my always devastating CPLT-A1. It's my energizer bunny of Div 4 splat builds.

So you both lost SSR.

I had a lot of fun in DIv 4 with my ZEU-9S... https://mwo.smurfy-n...c4cf8346348a940

6 MPL, MRM40. I had trouble with Jagers though, but after the nerf to their arms, I think I could probably take them if I tried it again. No real desire to play solaris much though nowadays as it's mostly empty, so haven't put it to the test.

Hey, you did something many wouldn't bother to do.

Come here and try to say sorry to the guy.

If you feel really really bad, and remember his name, you could maybe try friending, then you could try say sorry.

Of course this also, shows up yet another area of P.G.I's sloppy half finished Game design.

Much respect, dude, for owning up to the mistake and publicly apologizing. I hope he see this post.

Some jag builds.
4x ac5, 2x ml 3t ammo in arms, xl225, endo, 12dhs ~38 armor leg, 70 st.
6x ac2, 3.5t ammo in arms, le200, endo, ferro, 11dhs.

Dont matter if you overheat as long as the other person dies before you cook.
Try zig zaging towards them to spread damage and take out the arms.
