Please PGI fix issues where an urbanmech can facetank an Annihialator or any other assault mech for that matter. The machine gun meta clan/is light mech stuff is getting old. Nobody pilots assaults anymore simply because the way you have these lights set up is total bull. If a light can facetank an assault its wrong... they walk rite through huge alphas and core assaults out. ******** i call.. Please fix it or as you can see less and less assaults are fielded. Figure it out noobs....
Regards
Really?

Please play more Lights and/or play your Assaults better. The "nobody takes Assaults any more" schtick is just patently untrue, and they perform exceptionally well...just not when they take janky bracket builds with a gun for every range.

Meh. If a light mech hugs you too close, its an easy shot for your teammates. If it circle strafes around you, you can kill it yourself. If you're alone and without teammates, you have positioned yourself poorly and deserve to die.

Also shoot the legs on tanky mediums like Urbie (yes, it's a medium in disguise), Bushwacker or Crab. The urbie only owns you because it's torsos spread your huge alphas. All three Urbie torsos and it's two arms have more total HP to soak damage than an Anni's CT.
If you get a clean shot you could also try to remove the Urbie's arms, which usually contain the most firepower. But avoid shooting the torsos, and if an Urbie has a cored CT then aim for the butt/groin, they can't twist that as easily as their torso.

Learn to play as a team, maybe?
More often than not if an assault is without teammates they left it behind... so really that's more of a case of your team doesn't care so they left you behind and do not want the extra firepower an assault brings
