The new trailer for BattleTech Flashpoint with an exclusive look at the Hatchetman!

Information:

The first-ever BATTLETECH expansion comes complete with three new ‘Mechs (including the highly anticipated Hatchetman), a challenging new mission type, and a new tropical biome, along with its featured namesake, Flashpoints. Flashpoints are high-stakes branching short stories, comprised of procedural mercenary missions linked together with new crew conversations, special events, critical choices, and valuable rewards. To ramp up the intensity, some Flashpoint stories will feature “Consecutive Deployments” in which players won’t be able to repair their ‘Mechs between missions.

KEY FEATURES
• Flashpoints - Test your command skills in a series of action-packed short stories, completing extended contracts to earn big bonuses.
• New Biome - Navigate a lush tropical beach environment, with sunny shores and just a pinch of alien flare, for good measure. Sunscreen optional.
• New BattleMechs - Get your ‘Mech on with the armor-chopping power of the Hatchetman, the speed and versatility of the Crab, and the multi-range firepower of the Cyclops.
• New Encounter - In “Target Acquisition”, you’ll put your light and medium ‘Mechs to good use by taking control of three territories on the map to prevail!

Probably about the same as a Mech Pack.

Do you wanna buy an expansion? It contains [Redacted] more than a mechpack...
And virtually any company can do better polish than PGI when it comes to animations.

I wonder if Roguetech will try to incorporate the features. Might have to get it if they do.

I would think that it would be made to accommodate the new systems at least.

THE best turn based RPG in a VERY long time.

With Definitive Edition out, my Divinity group (we playing multiplayer) have started over.

I cannot suggest enough to try to find a group to play this game with. FAR better with three friends then solo.

So much fun!!!!!!

Sure sounds like one, and seems to be how this 'dlc' is sold to melee hungry hippos.

Looks like it launches November 27th for $20 ($18 if pre-ordered).

The preview streams...

I'm going to end up getting the Season Pass for $40 (current pre-order sale) just because I know I was going to get it all anyway lol.

$20 bucks. 3 Mechs, 1 new biome, and mini campaigns? Is that the gist of it?

Not sure that's enough for me to pay. I'm already kinda played out after doing a long run in Roguetech. Probably just wait for a sale at some point. Or see what Urban warfare has to offer.

Well consider what you got for $20 bucks in MWO....

Take breaks, come back to enjoy.

I'm having issues with giiving the AI helicopters.

The game's AI...really has no idea how to take advantage of them. Also would be nice to be able to layer hexes for multiple heights. Basically its a floating vehicle unaffected by terrain type in terms of movement and stability with the ability to use any hex and see farther to reflect "being airborne". Dropping this unit onto the AI has...less than appealing results.

But barring that, my other ventures into modding are doing well.
Hardest currently is coming up with scenarios/story, as I found some of the tools in the folder, but there's no documentation so its all trial and error. The choice event system is pretty decent though.

50 dollars for the season pass. Unless you preorder it before you can get any reviews or in depth description.

Thanks a ton, Paradox. Hopefully the sharp, salty taste of being vindicated in my predictions will outlast the depressing knowledge that now all three pillars of the Battletech game are dead to me now. Whoo.

Without watching any spoiler filled videos, what mechs are coming beyond the Axe?

No Flea? You'd think that, Champion and the Vulcan would have been in.

Possibly in a later update.

....I want my Thorn.

Especially since the right arm is practically an omnipod.

Still, good to have a Crab. That'll help me a bit with my modding.

/shrug

I dunno I can keep coming back to MWO. But most single players I get bored of and never touch again. But I got 253 hours out Battletech. I just don't feel like the mini campaigns are going to be enough to keep me engaged. Roguetech has done more to keep me engaged. But even that is getting old.
