You are T4 so naturally you will be grouped with people who have very little game related knowledge and skill. Have patience and climb the ranks. Shouldn't be that grindy if you are a hotshot, since the opposing teams are composed of potatoes too.

Or you could stick to FP/GQ, though those modes have basically no matchmaking.

To be honest we see many people in Tier 1 matches doing the same thing, except for the deliberate team damage/ team kill. Though plenty of team damage from people not taking care of those that are already in the line of fire.

Actually, that's the popular theory..... Unfortunately, it's 100% voluntary. I've seen Jimmy Jack take his father's mech and paint himself blue in the mech lab, swap out every logical weapon and drop screaming Banzai as the mech screams across the QP maps ending in a glorious and spectacular death !! Match after match after match.... I've seen very skilled pilots from this forum "just yolo it" because they could and it seemed "fun"....

Yes, it is un-fair to the 11 others......but, not against any rule or expectation. After all, you are measured by "your scores" not the other 11's scores.....???

True, but it still should never be accepted. Selfish play is the worst play and should be an object of scorn. Maybe it's a cultural thing, if so it needs to change. As I get older entitlement is even spreading to flippin' online games.

Just accept, that there are players of different skill levels.

Oh yes ! A lot of games are built around what " I " can do. Look at the Fallout 76 that is dropping in November.... Now, a cooperative game versus the decades of single player story lines. That game company is sweating huge bullets over what will or will not happen when it goes live. Some are concerned it "may just not work" because of toxic game play..... Which, seems to be the rule of late.

What yet another shooting at a gaming event. In another game last night in chat, "threats against the player and the family of a player..." Yes, reported to the host corporation AND reported to Federal Agencies..... A SWAT'ing a few months ago that resulted in a death.

Yes, the "lack of consequence" generation is creating nightmares everywhere. I think academia may call them the "Like generation" because they are so self absorbed about self-confirmation they can't exist without it because they have been removed from competition..... A perfect "servant" society ready for the taking and subjugation of.... Oh, yes, we are so very close to a crisis of epic proportions my friend. It's why I live so very far from people !

I hope games figure this out. PGI, has a process..........whether they follow it or do anything has yet to be seen. It may be simply too late as many have said? I don't know.

Sometimes the best course of action is to force the issue by charging straight into the enemy and dying in a blaze of glory while trying to take as many of the enemy with you as possible -- especially if 10 minutes into the drop both side have been intentionally hiding to avoid scratching their 'Mechs paint.

Prior Mechwarrior games you had different servers and different leagues, that all policed themselves or whatnot. So if you did not like it you could leave and find one you like.

Now we have one giant pool of turds, good luck finding a shiny one.

This could just me being in T4, I haven't played in like 3 years, but i am not willing to grind to T1 without a solution to unperceptive or Dunning-Kruger level players. Is there a tip or trick to handle these players? Or just never play quick drops and stick with my unit?
The latter.

Not so sure i'm in T1 and am repeatedly dumped with complete potatoes. You know the guys that couldn't hit a barn (not an awesome) or fire LRMs at less than minimum range, when the team ignores the three enemy uav's above them and then wonders why they're getting hammered or send six mechs chasing a squirrel three of them being assaults and then you have the every match is a Nascar event lot.

Tiers have nothing to do with it. The player population is so tiny now i wouldn't be surprised if its dropped to below a critical level that any form of MM that might of once existed (cough cough back in ELO times) has been turned off outright. It seems now the game struggles enough to scrape together enough players (if steam charts is to be believed it numbers in the hundreds) to just play a match let alone have any form of balance.

Well... let's just say I've seen much worse potatoes - and more often - when I was still in T5 than I see in T1 now. There is some improvement.
