playing FP this weekend I saw ACWs all over the place in scouting, but they didn't seem super effective to me. I've never really been able to make one that didn't fall apart the second it was looked at, is there something I'm missing? Is the Arctic Wolf supposed to be useful in scouting?

Just to clarify do you mean it was the premade that made my team mates ineffective and Arctic Wolf is a legit mech to take?

Well, I could have sworn you can put enough srm's on one of them that it can pretty close to one-shot anything the IS can take in scouting. That's not what I would call ineffective.

No, I wasn't because I don't play FP. Actually, an Arctic Wolf has quite a few powerful builds. Faction Play is made mostly for group drops, so you probably were unlucky enough to run into a bunch of coordinated groups.

Seeing as the OP is loyalist clan DS, it is more likely that these ACWs were on his side and I think he is complaining about them being potato-esqe...
He never says they were ineffective against him, just ineffective... There could be many reasons for this:
1 - They are IS lifers getting acclimated to clan meta.
2 - They brought builds that were not optimal for the situation.
3 - They were just trying to rush through their 10 loyalty matches so they could switch to full FP.
4 - They were sacrificing themselves in a dark, unholy rite in order to resurrect The B33f in game.
5 - They'd just snorted multiple grams of instant baby formula and were not able to function...
I know, I know... 1-3 are a bit of a stretch...
