What are the best champions to pick up from the event?
I already have at least one of some of these chassis.

Just glancing at the list, probably the Ebon Jaguar, Hellbringer or Timberwolf because they're omnimechs and solid mechs overall. If you own all three of those the Mad Dog is another decent option, though it lacks the two CT energy hardpoints of the Solaris 7 Mad Dog hero so not quite the best frame on which to build a Mad Dog.
If you're talking about dropping in game with it as-is, the Orion IIC champion is a cool build that can really ruin a person's day up close.

Do you have the DRG-5N? It's pretty fun with 3x UAC2.

Yes. UAC10, 2 medium pulse, SRM6. It's a good fun mech.

Roughneck is a very tanky mech, if that's more your speed. 100 tonner's structure and what, 10% extra armor across the board out of the box.

I already have the Powerhouse. Roughnecks are a bit sluggish for me.
How's the T-bolt? It looks like I could do a MRM-40 with 5 lasers and jumpjets.
Edit: Only 22 accel, not good enough.

The Roughneck and Thunderbolt are both the same weight so they will have similar speed. Mobility Skill Tree and a LFE will make a difference though you may be happier with a Clan mech if you prefer speed over structure buffs. I own 4 Hellbringers, it's a great mech. I keep getting cored in a Jag but it's probably one of the most popular clan heavies.
