Been looking forward to October for awhile.

ive been looking forward to october because thats when the state of alaska gives us money for living here. that money will go into a new rig and some weed which is also legal here.

What?? It must be a harsh life over there... I've seen a few documentaries, so I understand. Hm, I wonder if myself could live in such enviroment. Don't think so. Even with the bait of Free Mony and Rigs. I'm more of Caribbean beaches.

those documentaries reality shows lie. they are a source of bemusement to locals. i watched an episode about grouse hunting where they completely dramatized the hell out of it. ive been grouse hunting. those birds are so stupid you can walk up to them and shoot them with a 20 cal pistol point blank. i know people who actually live out in the bush and other than getting jacked on internet access its not all that bad. but most of the population here is actually city bound like the rest of murica.

as for the weather its not that bad where i live. it can get cold up around fairbanks and higher lattitudes, but here is the southeast we get a mostly rain dominated climate (rainforest) with mostly mild winters. actually its very nice in summer, like right now i spent much of the afternoon outside in a tshirt and shorts and wasnt cold at all. also the fishing is great.

the pfd we get is more of a quirk of the oil industry and relatively small population. so we end up with more tax revenue than budget, so they invest it and give checks to residents every year. this year its like $1600.
