Your effort to fix whatever you were trying to fix is worse.
Clan laser vomit is worse now than when you introduced them.
Yeah yeah dps is down, but they fire cooler and more often.
What sense does that even make.
I'm sure the clanker apologists will show up now.
But come on man.
I don't how you can make point and kill even easier.
But you did.
We might as well all be clankers now.
Is that the plan?
And on a side note where the hell is my Crusader.

Gotta drive my handful of Clankies to test it.

Sadly this doesn't do much for the blatant lack of true content (game modes, meaningful objectives, something other than "skirmish with random people #753,899 with boxes to stand on.")
But the fact that I actually had a good experience says a lot. Especially when opposed to walking for 30 seconds to 4 minutes only to suddenly drop dead by laser vomit to the head from a seemingly impossible angle, or having 90+ armor stripped in a single shot and before that shot's done even done, the remaining structure removed in the blink of an eye before even being able to track the laser back to its source in front of me and rage quitting after having suffered this multiple times in a row.

Well games are decided and over faster than ever, dps is at it's peak, or all the players became just hip snipers and suddenly target tactically the already weak points of a damaged mech. I guess it is the former.

Also better DPS seems to have made players go out more often engaging the enemy instead of peaking the whole time.
That said, if the overall goal of PGI is still to increase TTK then this patch ran counter to that goal.

This too shall pass.
Give it a few months.
PGI will nerf something substantially and many things incidentally. Their target values will suddenly change, their data will show unerringly just how nearly perfect balance is, but alas, it will be necessary for some reason to once again change some of the mechanics so that a weapon or play style will rise and yet another will be cast down.
That has been PGI's post skill tree approach to balance and it will continue to be.
Non-stop, near monthly dicking around with weapons and mech stats just to get us to change out mechs, re skill them, buy new ones all in a futile effort to keep up.
That's the game.
So yes, this too shall pass.
I can't wait for the inevitable future "IS SL is OP!" complaint. It'll happen, eventually.
