Considering your "sweet" response, they found the long lost tech, right?

That would be interesting. What if the Inner Sphere found the Clans first?

They kind of did, stumbling across them rather randomly. This is pretty much the jump off point for the introduction to the clans (for those who didn't know). Watch for "communication lost with everybody from The Rock" for the First official combat action.

Looks like a paycheck to me.. Either someone else will want the tech. Or the Explorers will want it protected.. I wonder which group will pay the most.... *Begins start up sequence on Timber Wolf and waits for the calls.*

You guys are acting like the fecal matter is about to hit the exhaust port.

This is just another expedition to find out where Kerensky went.

What's the worst that can happen?

they didnt stumble upon anything.
comstar lost communication with outbound light on 27 September '48 due to mechanical breakdown, their fate unknown.

there was no "lost" colony or aliens.
comstar saw this as an opportunity stir up fear in their continued attempts at keeping things unbalanced.

ISN is just their mouthpiece spewing more lies and propaganda.

^_^

EDIT: YOU SAW NOTHING.

No, the long lost tech has already been found, in minute amounts, in the Inner Sphere. No, the expedition spoken of is designed to make contact with the Clans in the first place, and it's the first sign that the Clans will be coming soon, near the time this game is supposed to launch, only 1,038 years from now in the BattleTech time-line.

The only two words in that communique that mattered were "Exodus" and "Road."

Is Exodus Road an Inner Sphere term? I was always under the impression that it originated with the Clans. I'm certain the Explorer Corps wasn't advertising an interest in finding where the SLDF had gone to the general public.

Well, Clan invasion isn't until 3052 right? Game launch is supposed to be 3049, we've got a nice couple of years until that happens.

Well, the first reported fight isn't until about August or September '49, and then it's going to take almost a year to fight down from the Draconis/Lyran/FRR Periphery to Tukkayyid. I think you'll have plenty of opportunity to fight without the Clans, but it will, most likely, be in preparation for facing the Clans, ultimately.

These posts are preliminary in nature, at best.

*gasp* maybe they will discover the origins of the Grimm Reaper Company and they shall be forever immortalized in canon....

Then again... maybe not ^_^
