Anchorage hit by 7.0 Earthquake.

To those of you in the area, good luck. I caught a glimpse of some of the preliminary damage on the news. What a mess.

i think the news is blowing this one way out of proportion. i live in alaska (though not anywhere near anchorage and i didnt even feel it) and the local news reported zero casualties, meanwhile national news outlets are sensationalizing it. news showed some damage to roads, but nothing as far as building collapses. anchorage does have good building codes.
