I know they did a Han Solo movie, as a stand alone, but what do you think if they should ever do a solo Darth Maul movie?

Possible, but probably not probably. I don't believe Disney has gone anywhere near the prequels yet.

Well the problem is that they would try to make him sympathetic somehow - afaik the same stupidy they did with the Venom movie.
But Maul is not a nice guy he is evil, he would kill all the little children watching the show without event thinking about it.

hm, ok maybe he is that kind of evil that is to be found in faith, people can do terrible things when they think that the outcome justify the price. But this would be a thin line and you need an awesome script and director to do the magic. Especially when you think of the Clone Wars series that show Maul as someone wich action is founded on fear. Afaik he was a coward in the end.

No - a Maul Movie would be bad in 6 of 10, terrible in 2 of 10 adequate in 1 of 10 and superb in 1 of 10 cases.

I wouldn't spend money for it.

The reason why I put this up was because I really enjoyed the book centered around him.

Yup this and the comic were both great
- the comic and the destruction of the Black Sun comes first and the novel reflects the later acts just prior to the Phantom Menace

I'd say you need an animated film then.
My main disappointment with books turned movies is that movies have a budget that cannot match my imagination.
Animation usually bypasses the budget constraint.

Well, the main selling point of "Solo - A Star Wars Story" was the pansexual Lando.
I'm sure Disney will be able to make something similar with Darth Maul (and how he is fighting with his sexual identity and status as disabled Sith after cut in half by Obi Wan Kenobi), but I won't spend money on such garbage.
