OK, since we're at the point where we have only two "buckets" (IS vs Clan) and "lore" and loyalist contracts no longer matter, how about opening up all the other factions to players, i.e. the Periphery States, Pirate Kingdoms, and Homeworld Clans so that we can fly whatever flag we want. You've already released most, if not all, the faction logos and associated unit decals, so just let players use them in game via contracts. I'm rather sick of seeing only the original ones in-game ever since the Steel Viper and Nova Cat factions were released. Contributes to the game's feeling of staleness.

would rather reduce to only two factions per side now that merc contracts no longer have bonuses then bring back clanvclan and isvis

Just to clarify, this is just a suggestion for a cosmetic change allowing players to choose new faction flags and logos beyond the old ones---they're still going to be either IS or Clan under the current two "bucket" system, so it really doesn't matter anymore.
