I pulled my data (accessible via Profile->Stats->Mech Stats) and copied it into a spreadsheet last night.
I eliminated all mechs with fewer than 15 matches, and then sorted by W/L ratio and K/D ratio to eliminate anything under 0.9 in either category.

Here are my 10 best performers:
Hellspawn HSN-7D: WLR 1.71, KDR 1.11. MRM30, ECM, 3mlas
Awesome 8Q: WLR 1.5, KDR 1.4. 3 heavy PPCs, 2 medium lasers, XL engine! Hefty pinpoint at medium range.
Marauder IIC-D WLR 1.49, KDR 1.19. This is probably from back when I was Tier 3. ECM and Clan weapons are still a good combo on a BattleMech.
Cicada 3M WLR 1.48, KDR 1.38 (second highest KDR overall); 4 medium pulse, LBX2, ECM, XL engine. It's good at securing kills and crits.
Jagermech JM6-A 1.37 WLR, 1.31 KDR. I guess I should swap this back to my RAC build, since that's what I used to play on it. Dates back to T3/T4 and is mostly untouched these days.
Cougar-H: WLR 1.35, KDR 1.03. This surprised me. UAC20, ECM 3 small lasers, and I often run out of ammo.
Highlander IIC Keeper hero: WLR 1.26, KDR 1.42; 2 UAC10s, 4 SRM6s. The only hero on the list so far.
Crab-27B WLR 1.4, KDR 1.25 No surprise here. 1 ERLL, rest ERMLs, no JJs, standard engine, runs cool.
Stormcrow, WLR 1.18, KDR 1.36 ATM 24, 1 ERML, TAG
Legend-Killer WLR 1.09, KDR 1.11. The second hero in the top 10, and placed substantially lower than most of the others.

I suspect the HSN, AWS, and CDA are going to surprise most people. The HSN surprised me, but I have 47 matches in it, so it's not a fluke. KDR is a bit lower than others in the top 10, but that WLR indicates that it does help the team out a lot even if it doesn't secure kills.

A quick damage/match conversion on the top 10...
Total average 354
Best avg damage (over 400): Stormcrow, Keeper)

Damage per kill top 10...
Average 452
Lowest damage per kill (highest efficiency): Awesome 8Q, 367
Highest damage per kill (least efficient): MadIIC-D, 553
All the others are between 405 and 488 per kill.

Apparently my 8Q is a really good mech for me, even though it overheats a lot and has an XL engine.

For me, these seem to be my standout mechs:

BUSHWACKER BSW-P1: 184 matches, 1.67 WLR, 1.19 KDR, 350 damage per match
BUSHWACKER BSW-X1(S): 77 matches, 1.66 WLR, 1.25 KDR, 398 damage per match
BUSHWACKER BSW-X2: 71 matches, 1.37 WLR, 1.45 KDR, 425 damage per match
GARGOYLE GAR-A: 54 matches, 2.00 WLR, 1.47 KDR, 404 damage per match
GRID IRON: 30 matches, 1.73 WLR, 1.10 KDR, 331 damage per match
HELLBRINGER HBR-B: 28 matches, 1.55 WLR, 1.32 KDR, 443 damage per match
PAKHET: 36 matches, 1.57 WLR, 1.41 KDR, 345 damage per match
RAINBOW CROW: 22 matches, 2.67 WLR, 1.22 KDR, 350 damage per match
HI THERE!: 28 matches, 1.80 WLR, 1.27 KDR, 282 damage per match
NOVA NVA-B: 52 matches, 1.74 WLR, 1.05 KDR, 331 damage per match

I'm not surprised with the performance of the Bushwackers, Hellbringer, and Pakhet; they're solid mechs.

With the Nova and Rainbow Crow I'm a bit surprised at their WLR and the Crow's KDR and damage, but they're pretty good mechs so I knew they wouldn't be bad.

For Mr. Gargles, I'm really surprised. While I remember a 6 kill, 1100 damage match on Alpine with it I didn't realize it's been pulling decent numbers for me for over 50 matches. The hardpoints are low and the mech is overengined, but I do like medium mechs and it does play like a huge medium mech.

For the Grid Iron and Hi There!, I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't think they're bad mechs, but I didn't think they performed the best of their respective variants. While the HBK-4SP does have over a 1.0 WLR and KDR for me, the Grid Iron has about the same average damage, a bit better KDR, and a significantly better WLR. The Hi There! has a disadvantage of having to allocate armour to the arms so I thought the more compact Javelin variants would outperform it, but it doesn't appear to be the case.

And I do notice that 7 of the 10 mechs above are medium mechs; I seem to be more comfortable in mediums and mechs that play like mediums.

What are you running on the Gargoyle and the Rainbow Crow, if I may ask?

Looking at my GAR-A, it's current build is 8 ERMLs and 28 heatsinks (edit: GAR-A). Of note though is that I haven't set its HSP so all my matches in it were before the skill tree was implemented. I did pop into the training grounds to do my normal build testing circuit on Tourmaline Desert and found it still works well with the new heat scale. I seem to recall using the GAR-C's arms to run a UAC20+6ERSL build on it as well.

For the Rainbow Crow I remember making a concerted effort to run the stock omnipods to keep the group of eight quirks. The two builds I mainly ran are a simple 2xHLL build where I'd flank the enemy and fire away using ECM to remain unnoticed (and run away if an enemy starts to press me), and an ATM9, 2xHML build where I'd use the Crow's speed to keep at about 250m away (usually flanking) and get the most of the ATM9 while using the medium laser damage to pop off any weakened components.

I sorted all my mechs by K/D and W/L, dropped all stuff with less than 50 matches and with KD or WL less than 1. I have a lot of mechs with ~30 matches , some if which have W/L and K/D >3, which is obviously a fluke.

K/D
Mech' Matches Played W/L K/D
THE DEATH'S KNELL 201 1.39 2.18
PANTHER PNT-9R 55 1.5 1.89

BUSHWACKER BSW-X2 129 1.27 1.12
OSIRIS OSR-2V 197 1.26 1.22

Builds for some mechs varied over time, for some did not. I can post the ones you're interested in. For lights these were mostly MPLs, SLs, MLs, max XLs.

Here are my top 10 mechs by matches played then sorted by W/L ratio. A Lot of these are from old games I'm sure so might not be as applicable.

I sorted all mechs with less than 50 matches out and had a look at the best K/D.

PANTHER PNT-8Z: Games 53 K/D 1.86
ZEUS ZEU-6S: Games 223 K/D 1.52
MARAUDER MAD-3R: Games 168 K/D 1.52
THUNDERBOLT TDR-9SE: Games 163 K/D 1.51
ENFORCER ENF-5D: Games 69 K/D 1.42
WOLVERINE WVR-6R(P): Games 204 K/D 1.38
CRAB CRB-27: Games 185 K/D 1.35
SHADOW HAWK SHD-2H(P): Games 79 K/D 1.35
BOUNTY HUNTER II: Games 133 K/D 1.31
ILYA MUROMETS: Games 456 K/D 1.27

I'm really surprised, that I did best in a Panther. Althoug the most deadly mechs are the Marauders and Cataphracts. With these mechs I had 5 solo kills in a single match.

HBK-4G: 233 Matches - 1.18 W/L - 1.73 K/D
HBK-4H: 351 Matches - 1.14 W/L - 1.72 K/D
HBK-4P: 337 Matches - 1.22 W/L - 1.68 K/D
ON1-VA: 216 Matches - 1.17 W/L - 1.51 K/D
COM-3A: 124 Matches - 1.07 W/L - 1.43 K/D
TBT-5J: 102 Matches - 0.92 W/L - 1.39 K/D
HBK-4J: 124 Matches - 0.86 W/L - 1.20 K/D
HBK-GI: 204 Matches - 0.89 W/L - 1.19 K/D
ON1-P: 188 Matches - 0.92 W/L - 1.17 K/D
ON1-K: 225 Matches - 0.88 W/L - 1.02 K/D

Evidently, I like Hunchbacks.

Man, formatting this is a pain. Ah well, looks about right:

SLEIPNIR Matches - 115 W/L - 1.35 KDR - 2.4

GRINNER Matches - 73 W/L -0.74 KDR - 1.8

Warhammer WHM-6R Matches - 39 W/L -1.05 KDR - 1.68

ARCTIC WOLF ACW-A Matches - 34 W/L -1.13 KDR - 1.67

PIRATES' BANE Matches -124 W/L -1.07 KDR -1.65

ANNIHILATOR ANH-1A Matches - 63 W/L -1.25 KDR -1.63

SUPERNOVA SNV-C Matches - 44 W/L -1.44 KDR -1.52

PIRANHA PIR-1 Matches - 73 W/L -1.06 KDR -1.49

RIFLEMAN RFL-3C Matches - 148 W/L -1.43 KDR -1.44

Only thing I'm really surprised at there is my low W/L Ratio for my grinner - I think that's an artifact of randomness than anything else, as I generally do quite well with it myself.

i didnt pull any detailed stats, but byfar my top mechs are the following:

MCII-DS/1/B: Arguably the strongest clam assault in the entire game right now, with a perfect combo of firepower, hitboxes, and mobility. I run 2uac5+2uac10 on the B, which is the defenition of meta right now on that chassis and it lets me play well at any range and is actually superior at brawling to many dedicated brawlers like srms and ac20s. As for the deathstrike and 1, its pretty much 2 gauss rifles and either 6 ERMLs or 2 LPLs and 2 ERMLs. the deathstrike has 2 JJs which despite being on assault reallhy help it get over terrain easily, and it can also poptart to a limited extent. the MCII-1 is less potent but for a non p2sw chassis is still decent with similar sustained DPS and alfa strike and 1 less JJ.

slepnir: dual gauss, just tears CTs open any time i miss the head and 1 shots plenty of mechs if i get behind them and dont miss the easy killshot. this thing is so broken that i am questioning why dual gauss hasnt been nerfed yet, given the raw efficiency of it. Ive singlehanded;ly held off a entirte lance so many times, nuff said about how broken dis thing is.

MAD2C: not the best, but it has a few decent builds on the dakka models and its about the only clam assault that can lazor vomit to any decent level. Only reason i mentioned it is that its one of the older mechs that actually remains very competitive if you play it at range (profile sucks for brawling).

hellbringer: classic lazor puke builds work pretty well and the virago has one of the few decent ERLL setups cause of the quirks. Doesnt really beat teh ebon at raw damage, biut if you factor in ECM and abundance of heatsinks it can easily push a 50-55 damage alfa strike 2-3 times on terra therma.

ebon: not a mech i like that much cause its profile sucks (always get CTd before taking any serious damage), but its one of few clam mechs that can carry assault firepower and move 81kph.

warhammer: 2 gauss and 4-6ERMLs is extremely effective, and if it wasnt for the low speed puts most clam builds to shame (60 damage is not easy to do on a clam heavy without sacrificing sustained DPS beyond QP territory).

pretty much every other mech i own is decent but doesnt singlehandedly take down entire teams as consistently as these.
